Afra Ansar

Afra Ansar, a Kalutara-based journalist has been evolving in the media and journalism field since 2018. Afra completed her formal education at Kalutara Ladies College, she obtained her Diploma in Journalism at the University of Colombo. She is an experienced journalist who has worked for Navamani, Samugam and NewsNow, as a news reporter. And as an investigative journalist, she has completed a variety of projects with Internews, Centre for Investigative Reporting and Free Media Movement, and currently an investigative journalist fellow of Transparency International Sri Lanka. Besides, in the area of mobile journalism, she has worked on over 5 projects incorporating SDJF, CMIL and CIR. Afra’s aspiration is to be a pioneer in the Tamil Investigative Journalism stream by gaining more experience and sharing her knowledge with people.
