MLS Muhammadh

MLS Muhammad is a progressive and innovative social journalist. He has been shining in the field of writing for more than twenty years and has been working for social progress by presenting profound ideas. Since 2010, Muhammad has been engaged in the industry of media and has presented more than 30 investigative stories. Muhammad started his media career in Ratnapura Regional Correspondent of MBC/MTV Colombo network and has been writing articles and stories by Tamil medium on many leading websites including Sri Lanka's national newspapers. He says that ethnic unity, religious harmony, equality, peace, and national development can be built by following democratic characteristics and he has been vocal against human rights violations including government corruption and abuse of power. Meanwhile, he had been working as a justice of the peace in Sri Lanka for more than twenty years. He has been working as a teacher and assistant principal in government schools for more than 10 years, He is believing that social development and changes should begin through the education systems in Sri Lanka. He said that the Sri Lankan education system is lagging in creating life skills among the students. Thus, the Sri Lankan education system has failed in raising the standard of living. Mr.Muhammad, one of the Islamic religious leaders studied Islamic Law and Arabic language at Jamiyah Naleemiyah Beruwela, Sri Lanka, He is also involved in humanitarian and social work, including educational research. Muhammad also mentions that new changes and rapid development in the media sector are the most important need of the time, in order to bring up healthy social changes in Sri Lanka in the 21st century. Muhammad married Mrs.Hamshiya in 2002 and he has two children named S.M.U. Habeeb and S.M.Aaysha. Both are students continuing their studies in G.C.E.O/L and A/L (Bio Science stream) at Mawanella. He has a degree in education and has also obtained a diploma in journalism from the University of Colombo. He is also Continuing the Master of Education Management Course conducted by the National Institute of Education Sri Lanka. He has completed several courses related to media and has experience working with many leading international media institutions.
